Do you want to be an integral part of building an international solar energy company? Are you a good operations manager with project experience or a talent who aspires to one day become a COO? At present there is no commercial solution for large scale offshore solar. Come join us making one as our new operations manager.
In this job you will no doubt be an integral part of the company`s future success and international growth. Your overall responsibility will be to manage the day to day operations and be responsible for planning, execution and budgeting. Additionally, you will also be heavily involved in HSEQ and safety matters. There is of course more to this role and other tasks and responsibilities include optimisation of documents and procedures, logistics, system and supplier relations as well as standardisation of the delivery process. Sounds interesting? You will also have the opportunity to travel to some exciting places and be involved in training international suppliers and on-site product managers in order to enable full local autonomy of product delivery.
Who is Ocean Sun`s new Operations Manager?
First and foremost, we require someone who believes in what we do and who believes in the future of solar energy. If you believe that this to be you then we would also like to think that you have experience from managing projects and ideally PV Projects. You will have both international project and operations management experience and experience from setting up and standardising delivery. Furthermore, you will have had great exposure to HSEQ procedures and the safety aspects of a project and ideally worked in the maritime or energy sectors. In a small company, a role like this will always be very hands on. We therefore hope that you have experience from writing procedures, on site installation and board presentations. Finally, we do require you to speak Norwegian to a minimum of B2 level.
What can we offer and why should you join us?
We truly believe in this and so too do our investors. Solar energy is set to become the dominating source of energy in the renewable future. You will be a part of this future and not just any part, you will be an integral part. This is an exciting journey and we are looking at incentives for members of the management team. We have a flexible and open environment and you will have the opportunity to travel to some very interesting places around the world.
Sounds like fun? Sounds like a challenge? Then we certainly want to hear from you. Who knows; boldly some may say, but perhaps we can both say in 10 years` time; «We made a success out of building a large international solar power company.»

Solar energy is set to become the dominating source of energy in the renewable future. Development of solar power plants require large land areas, and access to land is becoming a challenge to growth. Our goal at Ocean Sun is to transform the way solar power is developed and make cheap renewable energy available to millions living by inland reservoirs or the sea. A low-cost solution for developing floating solar power plants on lakes and the sea will give access to unlimited areas for solar energy development where most of the global population live. Close to 60% of the world population live in coastal areas, and more than 75% of the worlds mega cities is located by the ocean. There is currently a market for floating solar on lakes and dams that are estimated to be close to a TW, or 1000 billion USD in investments, from now until 2050. With a patented cost efficient floating solar solution, Ocean Sun is well positioned to take a significant position in this market.
Ocean Sun has recently secured financing from strong industrial and financial investors. To complete product development, and enable delivery of large scale commercial solutions from 2020 we are now recruiting key personnel.
